![]() Do you have curtains like this at home? I'm sure you have. And they are probably older than some of you. They look like they come from the 80s, and they probably are or maybe even older. But most importantly... ARE THEY IN YOUR ROOM? I know people who are living with their parents they wont spend money on curtains, bedsheets and furniture. I don't know about you, personally I hate all these 80s prints. I mean there are cool retro stuff. I love retro cameras, radios, cars, furniture and stuff but curtains or bedsheets, NO. Or parents bought the curtains when you are young and they are still hanging in your room. I think you should do something about it. With 30 bucks, I can bring your room a step closer to this century! If you are very free, you only need 20 bucks. Read on. Measure the length of your window and estimate the height you want for your new-and-super-chio curtain. Find companions. Skip this step if you are able to shop alone. I can't so I need to drag someone. Head down to IKEA! I'm always happy when I'm there. IKEA THE HEAVEN. Eat some Swedish Meatballs. Have some of these Swedish stuff in your body, if you want to be totally in the mood, talk with Swedish accent. Ignore the stares. Go to the fabric section, choose your design. There are so many pretty designs. Take your time to choose. Ask your companion for suggestions. If you're a loner, ask your imaginary friend. You gonna face this problem of not knowing which one to buy because all of them are so pretty. And if you went alone with this guide, you must be thinking, "Damn!!! I shouldn't skip step 2. I should skip step 4 because everyone's staring and thinks I'm crazy in my Swedish accent." I got mine for $10 per square meter. I need 2 pieces so it's $20. I think there are cheaper cloth too. This is the part where you can save $10. This tape melts and hold your folds together. SUPER COOL RIGHT? If you're very free If you have sewing machine at home, skip this step. If you go alone, skip this step. Or if you're super duper If you're very busy and clever woman like me. Buy this SY tape. You can find it around the fabric area. Actually I forgot the price, I think it's $10, or even cheaper. YAY! Cheap cheap cheap! This is the instruction for hemming the bottom. You're making your own curtain so you need to do the top first, it is exactly like the bottom. Just estimate how much space you need for your curtain rod or wire to go through. Fold, iron for the crease, put strip, iron. You have the top done. Then follow the guide above. Easy? Tadah! (And that's my bike.) ❤ |
